The First of the Month
There’s something about the first of the month that feels like a clean slate.
A fresh page.
A reset.
We tell ourselves tomorrow,
next week,
when things calm down,
when I have more time.
But tomorrow has shown up a thousand times…
and nothing changed.
Because the magic isn’t in “tomorrow.”
It’s in the decision.
The decision to start with what you have.
Where you are.
Even if it’s small.
You don’t need a perfect plan.
You need one action.
Drink the water.
Take the walk.
Send the email.
Clean the corner instead of the whole house.
Motion builds momentum.
The first of the month isn’t your permission slip.
It’s your reminder.
You are allowed to begin again.
As many times as it takes.
